⏳ Time is Money: Reclaim 730 Hours This Year
👋 Hi finance enthusiasts and fellow investors!
We always talk about investing in this newsletter. But in order to invest, you need one thing: MONEY.
And to get money, you have to work (unless you're lucky). You need skills and one thing above all: TIME!
So today, a little reminder of how you can make more money in the long term and how you can optimise your life in the short term so you can make more money immediately or use the time to learn helpful skills.
Let's get started!
How to make more money
Good skills: Concentrate on learning skills that enhance your earning ability, such as coding, digital marketing, sales, financial analysis, video editing, and others. These high-demand competencies are essential for increasing your income.
Good education: It's not always about formal or conventional schooling; what's crucial is gaining a deep understanding of your field and the broader network it operates within.
The right network: Surround yourself with the right people. You know it yourself, but often times we don’t want to admit it to ourselves. You are the average of the five people around you.
Your environment: Similar to the five people around you, but I count one thing in particular today: Social media! I see it everyday: People either become dumb through social media or learn something new every day. The difference is in the content you consume!
How to use social media to improve your life
Social media is making history by turning people into two things: either millionaires or doom scrollers.
The reason is simple - the algorithm has decided what you get to see every day.
So, here's how you hack the algorithm:
First, reset your preferred social media app's data.
Then, your first 10 follows should be people who you aspire to be or topics you want to learn more about, so you can start telling the algorithm the type of productive content you want to see.
Now, while scrolling, engage with productive posts and quickly scroll past any trivial distractions (twerking girls and anderer blödsinn)
And finally, limit your social media usage to 15-minute bursts, as these platforms will optimize the most relevant content first and then quickly introduce less relevant content to keep you engaged.
You don’t need more time. You can use apps like AppBlock to reduce the time you spend on these social media platforms.
Imagine not spending 2 hours per day on social media, but using these 2 hours every day to bring you closer to your personal goals. Imagine where you will be in 1 year, 2 years, 5 years!
2 hours per day is 730 hours per year!!! That's like a 9-5 job for 18 weeks! That would be $11,000 if you get paid $15 an hour.
Action steps this week
Think about your skills and what you want to improve.
Critically question whether the five people closest to you in your life support you and give you energy or take energy away.
Reset your social media app data and start to engage only with content that resonates with the skills you want to improve.
Use social media for only 15 minutes per day.
Use the newly freed up time to improve your skills.
For example, you could join one of my two 14-Day Crypto Bootcamps to become a better crypto investor 🤫
By doing this consistently for months, you will drastically improve your skills and, therefore, your ability to make more money.
More money = more investment capital = even more money in the future!
With that being said, enjoy your weekend and use it productively!
Cheers,
Stefan
